PENFOLDS Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon Awarded The Stodart Trophy

PENFOLDS Bin 707, 2007 vintage, was awarded the coveted Stodart Trophy for the Best Gold Medal winning One Year Old Dry Red Table Wine in Classes 16 to 23 at the 2008 Royal Queensland Wine Show. (PENFOLDS Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2007: Class 16 – One Year Old Wines – Dry Red – Cabernet Sauvignon).

Steve Lienert, Senior Red Winemaker, PENFOLDS said, "This is another great win for Bin 707 and it adds to the prestigious George Mackey Memorial Trophy* we won last year for Australia's export wine of the year (2004 vintage). To be awarded The Stodart Trophy for the Best Gold Medal winning One Year Old Dry Red Table wine reinforces PENFOLDS commitment to the quality of our red wines. 2007 was a challenging vintage however careful vineyard selection coupled with our commitment to the Bin 707 style allowed us to produce a wonderfully complex and engaging wine."
